Located at the existing school site, the new design incorporated the existing kitchen, cafeteria, gymnasium, and historic north facade. The design solution for the program consisted of an E-shaped plan segregating the different grade levels by wings with the common function areas becoming the spine connecting the three wings. The spine includes administrative offices, the media center, the art room, the science room, computer room and the music and drama room.

The three wings include academic rooms, support rooms and individual resource rooms. The Media Center includes a video production facility which allows students to film themselves and broadcast the images via a closed circuit TV system.

The crossroads of the plan occurs at the octagon from which all of the wings can be accessed. The administration areas and the media center are directly accessible from this space as well.
