This project provided for the addition of six classrooms to the 6th grade wing. Three general purpose classrooms, three science
lab classrooms, a team planning area, and an assistant principal's office were also included. The new addition was designed
to reinforce the concepts of team teaching and provide a setting that fosters a school-within-a–school instructional model. Existing
building systems were also renovated to meet current life-safety requirements.
