FWA | TCL Health Sciences

The Health Science Building is a state-of-the-art facility for the College's Nursing Program. It includes classrooms, computer center, nursing labs, lecture room, faculty offices, student lounges and an administration area. A two-story lobby links the classrooms, laboratories, and offices. The design reinforces the importance of open communication among students, faculty, and administration in educational pursuits.

Sited along the marshes of Battery Creek, the Health Sciences Building takes advantage of the natural environment to provide an atmosphere for intellectual and professional development. Carefully placed among large live oaks, the building acknowledges the natural contours of the site. The high visibility of the Health Sciences Building from a major street in the city allows it to be demonstrated as a definite architectural asset to the Technical College of the Lowcountry and the community.
