The new facility is meant to encourage the transfer of technology in infectious disease research from the university to
commercial applications. The laboratory spaces are planned to allow multiple size configurations using an internal interconnecting
corridor system. Each laboratory module of 300 SF has an additional multi-purpose room of 100 SF that can serve as an equipment room,
a tissue culture room, or even an office. The laboratories are planned to allow multiple size configurations using an internal
interconnecting corridor system. An additional band of lab space allows labs as small as 200 SF for lease and core / support functions
such as imaging or glassware washing.
All components are planned to relate to the existing Infectious Disease Research Complex on CSU’s Foothills Research Campus. The
RIC building and the cGMP manufacturing facility are grouped on the site to give a new image for the entire Infectious Disease Complex
upon entering the campus.
