Wood is used exclusively throughout the structure. The project was designed more like a wooden puzzle that had to be put together with individual pieces. Unique
custom features enliven the design like the special lighting concealed behind wood louvers built into the column configurations.
The building's large overhangs provide covered exterior space for guards to have direct access to the automobiles. Extensive glass areas provide unobstructed views
as well as creating the feel of a pavilion structure. The enclosure accommodates a small work area, toilet and storage space; two smaller pavilion buildings flank the entry
as check points for bicycle access as well as vehicular access during peak seasons and events.
The striking design identity created here established the vocabulary for other wayfinding and signage applications throughout the plantation resort.
